Using the vtiger Thunderbird Plugin you can add outgoing or incoming e-mail messages to vtiger and synchronize contacts between Thunderbird and vtiger CRM.

Working with Thunderbird Plugin

The vtiger Thunderbird Extension is a productivity-enhancement utility, which can be used with vtiger CRM software.

Using the vtiger Thunderbird Extension, you can perform the following operations in Thunderbird/Mozilla e-mail clients:

  • Add customers-related e-mails to a contact's history section in vTiger CRM.
  • Edit E-mail message before adding them to vtiger CRM.
  • Import contacts from vtiger CRM into Thunderbird/Mozilla e-mail client.
  • Export contacts from Thunderbird/Mozilla E-mail client to vtiger CRM.

Displaying Thunderbird-specific Toolbar Icons

vtiger Thunderbird Extension-related toolbar icons are not displayed in the toolbar area by default. You have to customize Thunderbird first.

Adding E-mail Messages to vtiger CRM

You can add customer-specific e-mail messages from Thunderbird the activity history under contactst in vtiger CRM.

Some times you may not want for the complete e-mail to be archieved in vtiger CRM. In this case, you can edit the e-mail message before adding it to the vtiger CRM.

Importing Contacts from vtiger CRM into Thunderbird

Using the import option, you can capture a contact list from vtiger CRM and import it into Thunderbird or Mozilla e-mail client.
